In the spring of 2009 Apple released an updated version of their desktop tower of power, the Mac Pro. The existing Mac Pro site was given an overhaul to announce the event. I provided the art direction and design.

Apple iWork ‘09

1 2 3

Apple has introduced new products at Mac World for many years, but late in 2008 they announced that 2009 would be the last year they’d be participating in the event. One of the announcements made in the last-ever Apple Keynote at Mac World was the latest version of the iWork suite of software. I served as art director and designer on the iWork website.

Banana Republic

1 2 3 4

Banana Republic is planning to open stores in many new countries in the next few years. Working with AKQA in San Francisco, I art directed and designed the site for its international markets. The challenge was to find a system that worked not only for Banana Republic but also for Gap and Old Navy so that code and resources could be shared across the two sites in many different languages. The result is a design that is flexible enough to support all three brand identities. See also: Gap, Old Navy.

Gap

1 2 3 4 5

Gap is expanding its international reach. As part of the rollout, they needed a global design that was flexible enough to allow for overhauls on a seasonal basis and accommodate multiple languages. The result is this site, built with the same HTML as the Banana Republic and Old Navy sites. I provided art direction and design for AKQA in San Francisco. See also: Banana Republic, Old Navy.

Old Navy

Old Navy has stores in the United States and Canada. Up until last year, they didn’t have a separate website for the Canadian market. Working with AKQA in San Francisco, I art directed and designed this site for Old Navy Canada, which uses the same HTML structure as the Gap and Banana Republic sites. adidas

In the spring of 2008, I worked with EVB in San Francisco to design a web experience for adidas to promote their line of NCAA shoes for March Madness. The site allows users to view the limited edition shoes in a 3-D basketball arena.

Adobe CS3

1 2 3

While working at EVB, I designed the site for the launch of Adobe CS3 — the first suite to include Macromedia products under the Adobe umbrella. Adobe wanted an immersive website where users could learn about the new features of the suite. We delivered a choose-your-own-adventure experience to illustrate the new integrated workflows. The site won a Favorite Websites Award (FWA).

Cheetos

I served as art director and designer for Studio B and Goodby Silverstein on this interactive 3-D experience for Cheetos in December 2008. Unfortunately, the project was killed before it saw the light of day for reasons unbeknownst to me.

Alberto Culver / VO5

1 2 3

I worked as a senior designer on the VO5 account at EVB. Our work won the account for the agency and we went on to build out an interactive campaign. The V05 Extreme Style Salon allowed visitors to upload their face, create an outrageous hairstyle using VO5 products and then send their work to their friends.
